Billy API Key Setup
AvailableTo connect Billy to Bookkeeping CLI, you need to create an API key (access key) in your Billy account. This guide shows you exactly how to do it.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Access Settings
Click on Settings (the gear icon) in the left menu of your Billy account.

Select Access Keys
Choose Access Keys (Adgangsnøgler) from the settings options.

Create New Key
Click Create Access Key (Opret adgangsnøgle) to begin.

Enter Details
Give your API key a name (e.g., "Bookkeeping CLI") and optionally add a description.

Confirm Creation
Click Create (Opret) to generate your key.

Copy Your Key
Copy the newly created access key. You'll need this when connecting Billy in Bookkeeping CLI.
Tip
You can create multiple API keys for different integrations. If you ever need to revoke access, simply delete the key in Billy.
