The Claude plugin

One file with the connector and ready-made skills. No API key and no terminal.

Download the plugin
Get bookkeeping-plugin.zip. Don't unzip it.

Upload it in Claude
Customize → Plugins → Add → Upload plugin.

Connect and sign in
Open the plugin's Connectors tab, connect Bookkeeping and sign in. Pick the company and what Claude may do.

Needs a Claude plan with plugins. Claude gets no access to your books until you approve the connection.

Using Claude Code?

Add the marketplace and install the plugin with two commands.

For developers and AI coding tools. One command installs bookkeeping on your machine.

Standard install

Installs the CLI and puts bookkeeping on your PATH when possible.

User-local install

Good for locked-down work machines and personal setups where you want the binary in your own home directory.

Downloads the hosted bundle, installs it into your user profile, and adds the bin directory to your user PATH.

Need a browser session first?

Sign in once on the web, then run bookkeeping auth login. The CLI opens bookkeepingcli.com in your browser, completes the token handoff there, and saves the long-lived token locally. No localhost callback is required.
